Michele Mackenzie, Principal Analyst

Michele Mackenzie is a principal analyst for Ovum's Consumer Practice. Michele has over nine years experience in the telecoms industry specialising in mobile communications and wireless multimedia. In her career at Ovum she has had a number of roles and has played a major role in developing and leading Ovum's Wireless Multimedia Service and more recently establishing Ovum's Consumer Practice.

Ovum's Consumer Practice offers strategic advice to over 100 clients including telecoms operators, network and device vendors and content intermediaries.

Michele produces qualitative and quantitative analysis on wireless data services and some broadband content services to our clients. Her current focus is on developments in the mobile Internet, examining on portal and off portal strategies and service evolution. Some other examples of Michele's topic coverage include:

• wireless multimedia connections and revenues forecasts including premium content forecasts.

Michele previously worked for Ovum's wireless consulting group as a senior consultant where she managed and provided strategic advice on a number of projects including working with ASETA (Asociación de Empresas de Telecomunicaciones de la Comunidad Andina) to manage a 3G public consultation process for the Venezuelan telecommunications regulator, CONATEL, and conducting competitor analysis for a global messaging vendor, evaluating the major vendors in the SMS and multimedia messaging markets.
